TangShifu has been expanding in Klang Valley rather rapidly lately. The menu line up is filled with nourishing soups and tonic dishes, with the infusion of nutritious ingredients such as abalone, scallops, Chinese herbs and chicken.
A glance at the menu revealed that most dishes are soup based, with rice, soup and noodles. We ordered a chicken ginseng and wolfberry soup meesua, and noted that the real dish looks very different from the photo in the menu. The bucket was for decoration purpose; the real portion of the food is just half of it.
The Dang Gui Stewed Pork With Rice was rather messy. Portion was again, rather on the small side. Even the colour of the dish is dull. Would be nice if there are other colours as well.
TangShiFu also offers a good selection of Chinese tea.
With a tagline of "To convey life esthetic through nourishing culture", TangShiFu is a place for people that are mindful of their health. The food is nutritious, with clear and simple taste, especially suitable for the older generation. It certainly is a place to bring elders for a nice dinner. However, the food could be bland and unexciting for us who are used to more vibrant taste of sweet, spicy and saltiness of most of the food we usually eat in Malaysia.
