Chung Wa Dae @ One Ampang Avenue

Odd enough, despite being famous for yong tau fu (assorted stuffed beancurds), the first thing I ate when I was in Ampang was Korean food. There is a thriving community of Koreans living in the area of One Ampang Avenue, and needless to say, that place is self sufficient for them, and full of Korean wonders for us Malaysian locals. To date I've yet to taste yong tau fu in Ampang, but we had return a few times for the authentic Korean food and the out-of-country feel, being surrounded by Koreans. There were so many Korean restaurants in the vicinity to choose from, so we just walked in a random one and hope for the best. And it happens to be this Chung Wa Dae Korean Restaurant.

As usual we had a plenty of healthy helpings of side dishes while waiting for the meal.

The dipping sauce.

While waiting for the meat to be cooked, we took photos and ate kimchi.

The Korean ginseng chicken soup, Samgyetang

Stirfried octopus with noodles, Nakji bokkeum.

We are glad to report that we like the food here, although service is quite erratic, especially during peak hours.
