When we were driving around Kuching city, we noticed that Bing! Coffee is in every corner of the city. It is just so accessible that it is impossible not to take notice. Thanks to that, when it rained during our museum visits, we quickly made our way to the nearest Bing! for some hot drinks.
Pretty much a modern, coffee serving establishment not unlike Starbucks and Coffee Beans, this place has a variety of hot and cold coffees and teas, plus a selection of desserts and coffee cakes. They used illy coffee.
The whole place gives a very warm and comforting feel, and the sofa scattered all over the place was really inviting. I could sit there all day.
Cakes and desserts are displayed in the glass cabinet. We eyed on a few and decided to order a slice of carrot cake.
The carrot cake was rich and moist, and not overly sweet. The chopped nuts add a crunchy note to the cake. If only the layer of cream cheese frosting is thicker...
The coffee was warm and certainly made me feel better. I am not a coffee connoisseur, nor an illy fan, so I reserve my two cents about coffee.
Anyway, the service here is good, servers are patient and accommodating. I really like this place.
