Law Cheang Kee @ Nibong Tebal

Its time to say goodbye to Penang after so much delicious Penang fare. Hopefully we can make time to visit again in future. Last but not least, we drop by this place for dinner before continuing our journey to Ipoh. Back then when my DaddyS and UncleK used to work around the Nibong Tebal area, they swore by the crab porridge serve in this restaurant. It was so good, in fact, that DaddyS insisted we must try.

For appetizer, we ordered this boiled octopus. These crunchy octopus legs and the sweet and sour peanut dipping sauce is a match made in heaven.

Fried til crispy prawns. So good, I even ate the shells together.

Scallop steamed in ginger, garlic and soy sauce. A little bit on the skinny side, and the taste was obscured by the strong ingredients used in making the dish. No complaints though. Still good.

And the star of the night:

Crab porridge with lots and lots of coriander. Teochew style porridge with crabs. Sweet, and densely flavoured with crab, I can see why this is worth making a fuss on. MommyC doesn't like it though, because she hates coriander. I absolutely love this porridge, and the rest of the dishes we ordered.

This is definitely a place I will drop by when I visit Penang again.
