We had Kwai Lam again, and it was raining cats and dogs upon reaching, so the restaurant sent their staff to come and hold and umbrella for me. We had the same baked fish and fried noodles like the previous visit. Stingrays seasoned with turmeric powder and baked on banana leaf.
A dish of superior soup lala, which comes with some wolfberries, strips of ginger and a hint of wine, perfect for comfort food on a rainy day.

ReplyDeleteI do hope you are still posting these wonderful photos and recipes on the web. My partner and I toured Malaysia in December for about three weeks. Of all the trips we've taken Malaysia ties with Turkey as the most delightful. Memories of the vibrant food scene haunt us still. I have collected all the ingredients I could find for Malaysian recipes but some are not procurable, even here in the Bay Area. Keep posting as the photos bring back such delectable memories of Malacca, KL, Penang and Langkawi. Our hearts yearn for your beautiful, gracious country.
